Too Little Done by Stephen Mullan

Who are you and what is happening?

I am a writer, standup comedian, actor, father and worrier. My work CV would begin in the summer of 1998 and since then I have shovelled sheep shit, pulled pints, left school, cut wood, made coffee, made meals, made shows for stage, TV and cinema pretending to be other people- most recently I’ve performed on stages in Ireland, UK, US even UAE, making people laugh. I have always written, mostly for myself, sometimes for people who read the Irish Times on lots of stuff from football to unemployment. This is my little corner to share with you my writing, ideas, creations, opinions, rants, observations and other happenings in my brain. I think you’ll enjoy it, I think you’ll like what I am doing on here and I’d love you to join in.

Why Subscribe?

By subscribing to Too Little Done, you can read what I have to say about the things that are going on in the world, and some of the weirder stuff that I get up to. You’ll get to enjoy my silly takes on the things that people take too seriously, but there will also be times where I can get a little vulnerable about life and it’s adventures.

This is my way of moving away from constant death scrolling on social media, and the nasty troll filled world and create a little more of a Michelin Star meal for you here away from the fast food of algorithm-centric click-bait. Notions eh? It’s just a place where I can make something a little tastier for the wonderful people I serve-you!

What will I be writing?

All subscribers will get Too Little Done sent straight to their inbox once a week. It will be personal opinions or stories intertwined into a column with a more universal theme, with of course- lots of laughs. It will be a wide range talking anything from love, politics, mental health, football, as well as what it is like to live where I am in Ireland and the life of a standup comedian, actor and father. An example some of the type of things I write will be this piece for the Irish Times on being a standup comedian in lockdown, or the different take I took on the myth on a man who united a broken country, Diego Maradona.

There will also be more content for paying subscribers which brings me to…..

Money for writing?! You Cheeky Monkey!

Paid subscribers to Too Little Done will get:

  • An extra piece of writing a week.

  • Podcasts of my smooth radio voice, reading my columns as well as other podcast content.

  • Voice notes- responding to your questions.

  • Scripts I am currently working on.

  • Videos of me clipping my nails (That’s a joke do not sign up for that).

Access to the cool kids Too Little Done club is €5 a month.

Most importantly, if you choose to read Too Little Done, I am very grateful, thank you for being here. If you really like it, do share it. I hope this is a fun place for you away from all the other trash in the world, and I hope it will be filled with like quirky minded loo laa’s like myself who have big hearts and love a laugh. Welcome. Thank you. Let’s do this!
