Wow Stephen. I love your vulnerability and honesty. I often wondered how creative people "create". And I'm sure everyone is different, but thanks for answering that question for you. I'm interested to see what comes next, and willing you on to success, however that looks for you.
Lovely writing Stephen, and I feel like I understand; I suppose after Edinburgh it’s something we’re all going through together alone.
I’m reading Hemingway’s “A Moveable Feast” and find it very inspiring for work. He says to just write “one true sentence” and go from there - it’s working for me.
(What is meant for us flows freely in harmony with us, not against us) Cleo Wade, I firmly believe Creativity is your Calling, you are always going to attract creative people & opportunity’s, it’s where you get your energy, they speak your language, it’s brilliant that you have the ability to make others happy but first and foremost make sure you make yourself happy first, I think this can make us all sick, giving too much of ourselves, I can’t imagine the work & discipline it takes to create a show or a new piece of work but try and keep a piece of you for you, I feel your tough life experiences have given you an amazing emotional intelligence. I think you would be a super counsellor as you have the ability to connect with people on so many different levels. The one thing I wish I did more of was cry, and allow myself feel and not shut down my emotions so much, of course this is being protective of oneself. I read a lovely quote the other day, it read sometimes we need to cry to stop our hearts from drowning. I think you are very courageous that in itself helps others to do the same, thank you for sharing..
